Measuring the spectrum of primordial gravitational waves with CMB, PTA and laser interferometers

Paolo Campeti et al.

Summary: This study investigates the potential of measuring the primordial gravitational wave signal using various instruments and missions, such as CMB, PTA, and interferometers. Sensitivity curves and error bars for different models are presented, showing promising prospects for joint measurements by CMB and space-borne interferometers. The effect of astrophysical foreground contamination in each experiment is also evaluated.

Improved reconstruction of a stochastic gravitational wave background with LISA

Raphael Flauger et al.

Summary: A data analysis methodology was proposed for model-independent reconstruction of the spectral shape of a stochastic gravitational wave background with LISA; The improved algorithm includes a complete set of TDI channels, reducing uncertainties, avoiding local extrema in likelihood maximization, and breaking degeneracies between signal and instrumental noise; Testing with case studies showed that additional channels are helpful in various ways for the reconstruction process.

Measuring parity violation in the Stochastic Gravitational Wave Background with the LISA-Taiji network

Giorgio Orlando et al.

Summary: This paper explores the possibility of detecting circular polarization of an isotropic Stochastic Gravitational Wave Background by cross-correlating two space-based detectors, LISA and Taiji, and finds that a clear measurement of chirality can be claimed for a maximally chiral flat signal with specific amplitude at the frequency scales of LISA and Taiji.
