Changes in College Student Alcohol Use During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Are Perceived Drinking Norms Still Relevant?

Summary: Most college students reported a decrease in their alcohol use during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as perceived decreases in their peers' alcohol use. The study found a strong correlation between perceptions of peers' alcohol use behavior and changes in individual alcohol use.
