Fuzzy torque trajectory control of a rotary series elastic actuator with nonlinear friction compensation

Mohammad Javad Fotuhi et al.

Summary: The study focuses on improving the deteriorating trajectory tracking performance caused by nonlinear elements in RSEA systems by proposing a fuzzy logic torque controller with nonlinear friction compensation. Experimental comparison among different controllers demonstrates the better robustness of FTC-FC against disturbances. The simulation and experimental results strongly confirm the superior control performance of the proposed method.
