Therapeutic effects of biochanin A, phloretin, and epigallocatechin-3-gallate in reducing oxidative stress in arsenic-intoxicated mice

Gyanendra Singh et al.

Summary: Arsenic is a common toxicant in the environment, and flavonoids such as biochanin A, phloretin, and epigallocatechin-3-gallate have been found to significantly mitigate arsenic toxicity in Swiss albino mice. The flavonoids were able to restore sperm motility, reduce arsenic concentrations in kidney and liver tissues, and modulate antioxidant markers and signaling pathways to enhance the intracellular antioxidant response system.
