Comparative Time-Course Physiological Responses and Proteomic Analysis of Melatonin Priming on Promoting Germination in Aged Oat (Avena sativa L.) Seeds

Huifang Yan et al.

Summary: The 36-hour melatonin priming treatment was found to be the most effective in improving germination and seedling health of aged oat seeds by enhancing antioxidant capacity and maintaining cell ultrastructure integrity. Proteomic analysis identified key proteins involved in these processes, shedding light on the mechanisms underlying the promotion of germination by melatonin priming.
