Review on solar collector systems integrated with phase-change material thermal storage technology and their residential applications

Summary: This article reviews the design and applications of solar phase-change energy storage systems in residential buildings. Integrating phase-change materials (PCMs) into solar thermal collector systems can improve efficiency but may face PCM leakage issues. Adjusting inclination angle and selecting PCM in appropriate temperature zones can enhance system efficiency, while considerations for separated systems include heat exchanger types, structures, and solar collector types.
