Assessment and characterisation of post-COVID-19 manifestations

Marwa Kamal et al.

Summary: The study found that the majority of COVID-19 survivors experience post-viral symptoms, with fatigue being the most common, and some experiencing severe complications such as stroke and myocarditis. The presence of comorbidities prior to COVID-19 infection is related to the severity of post-COVID-19 manifestations.

Bilateral Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss and Intralabyrinthine Hemorrhage in a Patient With COVID-19

Alexander Chern et al.

Summary: This case report describes a patient with COVID-19 who experienced bilateral sudden sensorineural hearing loss and intralabyrinthine hemorrhage. Treatment with high-dose oral prednisone and intratympanic dexamethasone resulted in improvement of vestibular symptoms, fluctuating sensorineural hearing loss in the right ear, and severe to profound mixed hearing loss in the left ear.

Auditory Performance in Recovered SARS-COV-2 Patients

Amiel A. Dror et al.

Summary: This study aimed to assess the effect of COVID-19 infection on auditory performance in recovered SARS-COV-2 patients and controls through measuring otoacoustic emission (OAE) and auditory brainstem response (ABR). The results showed no significant differences in transient evoked otoacoustic emission (TEOAE), distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAE), or ABR responses between recovered asymptomatic SARS-COV-2 patients and controls.
