The compact pulse shaper described here is capable of controlling broadband electro-optical modulators at frequencies from 0 to 1.5 MHz, generating control pulses with voltages up to 300 V or more, and rise and fall edges of similar to 35 ns. Its small dimensions allow it to be combined with an electro-optic modulator into a single unit, significantly reducing parasitic electromagnetic radiation.
