Fabrication of Bi1.81MnNbO6.72/sulfite system for efficient degradation of chlortetracycline

Jie Zhao et al.

Summary: The study successfully designed an eco-friendly Bi1.81MnNbO6.72/sulfite system for efficient degradation of chlortetracycline. The synthesized Bi1.81MnNbO6.72 exhibited paramagnetic properties and contained high density of metal atoms, facilitating the heterogeneous catalytic process. Through experimental tests, it was found that initial pH, Bi1.81MnNbO6.72 dosage, sulfite and chlortetracycline concentrations, as well as inorganic salt ions had significant effects on chlortetracycline degradation efficiency, reaching up to 76.2% under optimal conditions.
