Methyl sydnone imine and its energetic salts

Summary: This study synthesized and characterized a series of energetic salts of the 5-amino-3-methyl-1,2,3-oxadiazolium cation, with the perchlorate salt showing excellent thermal stability and high density, surpassing the energetic performance of TNT. These salts, except for the perchlorate, demonstrated mechanical insensitivity, and the research proved that the methyl sydnone imine cation is a suitable energetic compound.
