The Association between Ranitidine Use and Gastrointestinal Cancers

Gerald McGwin

Summary: N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) is a probable carcinogen found in ranitidine and has been linked to specific cancers through dietary and occupational exposure. However, studies specifically focusing on ranitidine exposure are limited. This study evaluates the association between ranitidine use and gastrointestinal cancer, suggesting an increased risk of certain cancers associated with NDMA-contaminated ranitidine.
