Summary: Four pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) users with gastrointestinal disorders included in the study showed significantly lower trough plasma tenofovir concentrations compared to PrEP recipients without gastrointestinal disorders, despite self-reported high adherence, indicating the need for increased TDF doses or alternative prophylactic measures in PrEP users with gastrointestinal disorders.
