Obstetric and neonatal outcomes after the transfer of vitrified-warmed blastocysts developing from nonpronuclear and monopronuclear zygotes: a retrospective cohort study

Ming Li et al.

Summary: The study compared obstetric and neonatal outcomes after transferring vitrified-warmed single blastocysts developing from nonpronuclear (OPN) and monopronuclear (1PN) zygotes with those developing from two-pronuclear (2PN) zygotes. The results showed that while OPN blastocyst transfers resulted in higher birthweights and a greater proportion of very large for gestational age newborns compared to 2PN blastocyst transfers, 1PN blastocyst transfers had a higher abortion rate and lower live birth rate. The study suggests a need for caution when considering 1PN and OPN embryo transfers.

Reproductive outcomes of intracytoplasmic sperm injection using testicular sperm and ejaculated sperm in patients with AZFc microdeletions: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Yu Zhou et al.

Summary: The meta-analysis results showed no significant differences in live birth rate, abortion rate, and clinical pregnancy rates between testicular sperm and ejaculated sperm groups in ICSI using sperm from males with AZFc microdeletions. Further studies are necessary to confirm these conclusions.
