What are the most effective community-based antimicrobial stewardship interventions in low- and middle-income countries? A narrative review

Thanh Tuan Lam et al.

Summary: Antimicrobial resistance is a major global issue, with a disproportionate impact on low- and middle-income countries. Overuse of antibiotics in the community is a major driver. Despite being neglected in stewardship research, community-based interventions are crucial for LMICs. The evidence on community-based stewardship interventions in LMICs is limited, with a need for more research on microbiological, clinical and economic sustainability.
