In a recent article, researchers assessed heavy metal contamination in surface sediments of Ha Long Bay, but inaccuracies in the analytical data and unreliable assumptions in their approach for calculating enrichment factors may affect environmental management decision-making.
In a recent article, Dang Hoai et al. (Environ Earth Sci 79:436, 2020) present an assessment of heavy metal contamination in the surface sediments of Ha Long Bay. However, there are some inaccuracies in the analytical data used in their article. In addition, their approach for calculating the enrichment factor of elements is also inaccuracy caused by unreliable assumptions. Consequently, their assessments can influence the process of decision making regarding environmental management.
