Enhanced Carbon Sequestration in Marginal Land Upon Shift towards Perennial C4 Miscanthus x giganteus: A Case Study in North-Western Czechia

Karim Suhail Al Souki et al.

Summary: This study focused on the short and long-term impacts of the bioenergy crop miscanthus in Czechia, showing its positive effects on soil physico-chemical and biological parameters. Results indicated that miscanthus significantly contributed to soil organic carbon stocks after just 3 growing seasons, suggesting its potential for carbon sequestration and land restoration.
