Summary: This study showed that red dichromatic imaging (RDI) is a more accurate predictor of esophageal varices (EV) recurrence rate compared to white light imaging (WLI), and it significantly decreases the recurrence rate. The RDI group had better success rates of intravariceal injection, shorter operating time, and lower incidence of adverse events.
