On the fractional optimal control problems with a general derivative operator

Amin Jajarmi et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on a general form of fractional optimal control problems and introduces a new numerical method to solve these equations effectively. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method performs well both in terms of accuracy and computational efficiency. Comparative results suggest that a specific case with Mittag-Leffler kernel improves the transient response of the controlled system compared to other types of derivatives.

A Numerical Simulation on the Effect of Vaccination and Treatments for the Fractional Hepatitis B Model

Haile Habenom et al.

Summary: The paper develops a fractional order mathematical model for describing the spread of HBV and conducts a rigorous mathematical analysis of the stability of the system based on basic reproduction number. Nonlinear equations are solved using Jacobi collocation method and Newton Raphson method, with matlab 2018 used for simulations of different compartments and control strategies.

New applications related to Covid-19

Ali Akgul et al.

Summary: The analysis of mathematical models for COVID-19 has provided valuable insights. In this paper, a differential equation model related to COVID-19 was analyzed using fractal-fractional derivatives. The equilibria of the model and stability analysis were discussed in detail, along with the effective numerical method used to obtain results which were demonstrated through numerical simulations.

Analysis and Dynamics of Fractional Order Mathematical Model of COVID-19 in Nigeria Using Atangana-Baleanu Operator

Olumuyiwa J. Peter et al.

Summary: A mathematical model was proposed to investigate the transmission and control mechanisms of COVID-19 in the community of Nigeria, using stability theory of differential equations. The study examined the qualitative behavior of the model and determined stability conditions for disease-free and pandemic equilibrium. Through numerical simulations and theoretical analysis, the impacts of various biological parameters on transmission dynamics were explored to identify significant strategies for disease control.
