Electrostatic self-assembly of heterostructured black phosphorus-MXene nanocomposites for flexible microsupercapacitors with high rate performance

Jie Yang et al.

Summary: In this study, positively-charged black phosphorus (BP) nanoflakes were first prepared by electrochemical exfoliation method and electrostatically assembled with negatively-charged MXene nanosheets, forming heterostructured BP-MXene nanocomposites. Flexible BP-MXene thin films with lamellar structures and hierarchically porous networks were demonstrated, showing enhanced interfacial electron transfer. The flexible BP-MXene QMSC exhibited high volumetric energy density, outstanding rate performance, and high cyclability in neutral electrolytes, showcasing its potential as a promising flexible microscale power source for portable/wearable electronics.
