Artificial Skin Perception

Ming Wang et al.

Summary: Electronic skin (e-skin) replicates human skin to achieve artificial sensation through flexible and stretchable electronic components. While progress has been made in data collection and transmission, the perception functionality is still in its early stage. Integrating perception into flexible sensing systems, artificial skin perception is crucial for endowing systems with higher intelligence.

Sub-Femtojoule-Energy-Consumption Conformable Synaptic Transistors Based on Organic Single-Crystalline Nanoribbons

Cong Zhang et al.

Summary: Inspired by the powerful functionalities of the human brain, artificial synapses are continuously innovated for brain-like neuromorphic electronics construction. This study successfully designed synaptic transistors with organic single-crystalline nanoribbon active layer and elastic embedded photolithographic electrodes, achieving a minimum energy consumption far lower than biological synapses, and capable of simulating various biological plastic behaviors under different strains.
