Rapid COVID-19 Screening Based on Self-Reported Symptoms: Psychometric Assessment and Validation of the EPICOVID19 Short Diagnostic Scale

Summary: This study aimed to identify COVID-19 cases through self-reported symptoms, with 25.7% of NPS-positive cases in the study sample. Results showed that compared to NPS-negative subjects, NPS-positive subjects were more likely to have symptoms such as fever, loss of taste and smell, and cough. Through self-reported COVID-19 symptoms, a diagnostic scale was developed to assist in identifying COVID-19 patients.
