Bell's Palsy after second dose of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination in a patient with history of recurrent Bell's palsy

Michael Repajic et al.

Summary: A 57-year-old female with history of recurrent Bell's Palsy developed left Bell's Palsy less than 36 hours after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. The symptoms progressed in severity over the next 72 hours, suggesting a possible association between vaccine administration and onset of symptomatic Bell's Palsy. Further investigation may be warranted due to reports of Bell's Palsy in trials of both Moderna and Pfizer vaccines.
