The negative influence of food neophobia on food and beverage liking: Time to look beyond extreme groups analysis?

Sara R. Jaeger et al.

Summary: The negative impact of food neophobia on food and beverage liking/disliking is well-documented, with extreme groups analysis dominating current research. However, the study suggests that full-data analysis should also be considered, as it provides additional insights on the relationship between food neophobia and consumer preferences. Through comparing extreme groups analysis and full-data analysis, a more comprehensive understanding of the impact of food neophobia on consumer liking/disliking can be achieved.
