Summary: Arnebolagus leporinus, known from the early Eocene in Mongolia, is redescribed based on new specimens. The phylogenetic relationships of Eocene stem lagomorphs are reconstructed for the first time, revealing new clades and the oldest known eulagomorph. Arnebolagus is more primitive than other early Eocene eulagomorphs.
