Evaluation of sum-NDVI values to estimate wheat grain yields using multi-temporal Landsat OLI data

Asadollah Mirasi et al.

Summary: Normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI)-based models were developed to derive wheat grain yields with multispectral images, using field measurements and Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager (OLI) data. The study found that sum-NDVI values better matched actual yield data, and using these values to estimate wheat yields was more accurate, especially during the milky and maturity stages.
