Summary: In elderly patients with glioblastoma, large pretreatment contrast-enhancing tumor mass and higher ADCs can predict survival benefit from bevacizumab plus radiotherapy. Persistent (FET)-F-18-PET signal during concomitant bevacizumab therapy may suggest pseudoresponse and be a poor prognostic factor.

Long-term metabolic evolution of brain metastases with suspected radiation necrosis following stereotactic radiosurgery: longitudinal assessment by F-DOPA PET

Summary: In this study, the long-term metabolic evolution of radiation necrosis (RN) in brain metastases patients following stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) was characterized using sequential PET/CT imaging with F-DOPA. It was found that F-DOPA uptake parameters increased over time in lesions with local progression (LP) while remaining stable in RN lesions. F-DOPA PET showed high diagnostic accuracy for assessing the long-term evolution of brain metastases following SRS.
