Nuclear energy, as a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy source, is increasingly being developed in major nuclear power nations around the world. After the Fukushima nuclear accident, new and higher safety requirements have been put forward by the international community, prompting the exploration and development of advanced nuclear energy technology to address economic, safety and environmental issues in the development of nuclear energy.
As the only clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient basic load energy, nuclear energy has been increasingly developed in major nuclear power nations around world. At the same time, nuclear energy also plays a positive role in responding to global climate change. After the Fukushima nuclear accident, the international community has put forward new and higher requirements for the safety of nuclear energy. The world?s nuclear energy community is exploring and developing advanced nuclear energy technology with a view to solving the economic, safety and environmental issues in the development of nuclear energy. This article summarizes the development trends of advanced nuclear energy technology in international organizations and major nuclear power countries, it introduces the development of advanced nuclear energy technology in China, and it also analyzes the future development trend, the crucial development directions and common technologies of advanced nuclear energy.
