Study of Arrhenius activation energy on the thermo-bioconvection nanofluid flow over a Riga plate

M. M. Bhatti et al.

Summary: This article investigates the effects of Arrhenius activation energy and viscous dissipation on thermo-bioconvection nanofluid propagating through a Riga plate. Through numerical analysis, it is found that the magnetic field and bioconvection parameters weaken the velocity profile, while an increase in activation energy enhances the concentration profile. However, an increase in the Prandtl number suppresses the temperature profile changes.

Entropy generation in electrical magnetohydrodynamic flow of Al2O3-Cu/H2O hybrid nanofluid with non-uniform heat flux

Sana Mumraiz et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the influence of entropy production on MHD hybrid nanofluid flow in the presence of an electric field. By numerically solving the dimensionless model, it is concluded that magnetic field and suction decelerate fluid motion, while high electric field values may resolve sticky effects. Friction factor and heat transfer rate are evaluated and results show good agreement with existing data.

On bio-convection thermal radiation in Darcy - Forchheimer flow of nanofluid with gyrotactic motile microorganism under Wu's slip over stretching cylinder/plate

H. Waqas et al.

Summary: This study discusses the Darcy-Forchheimer nanoliquid bio-convection flow on stretching cylinder/plate, considering modified heat and mass fluxes, activation energy, and gyrotactic motile microorganism features. Numerical results illustrate the influence of key elements on the flow, showing velocity decreases with higher magnitude of first- and second-order velocity slips and bioconvection Rayleigh number, and an inverse relation with mixed convection parameter and local inertia coefficient. The study also highlights the novel characteristics of thermophoresis diffusion and Brownian movement in nanoliquid, providing valuable insights for future research in this area.

Summary: This study examines the analysis of combined convection and thermal radiation on molecular theory of liquid originated nanofluid over an extendable surface using a numerical approach. The temperature-dependent viscosity and thermal conductivity are considered, with a focus on thermophoresis and Brownian motion effects on nanofluid attributes. The impact of various physical parameters on velocity, thermal energy, and mass transfer is computed numerically and graphically, revealing patterns such as temperature fluctuation and concentration boundary layer thickness under different conditions.
