Energy dissipation in natural rubber latex films: The effect of stabilizers, leaching and acetone-treatment

Alexandra Shakun et al.

Summary: The research focuses on minimizing the dielectric and mechanical losses of natural rubber films to improve the efficiency of dielectric elastomer generators. Deproteinized NR stabilized by natural proteins outperformed unmodified NR in reducing dielectric losses and mechanical hysteresis. Posttreatment methods were found to moderately reduce material-related losses.
