BIM for Existing Construction: A Different Logic Scheme and an Alternative Semantic to Enhance the Interoperabilty

Summary: This paper investigates the development of finite element models for assessing the structural integrity of existing structures using point cloud data and HBIM technology. Different procedures and software are explored to address the challenges in dealing with cultural heritage assets. The Paraboloide of Casale in Italy is presented as a case study, highlighting its significance as an example of concrete industrial heritage.
