Multiphase coupling mechanism of free surface vortex and the vibration-based sensing method

Summary: This paper presents a novel modeling and sensing method for multiphase vortex, analyzing the coupling mechanism and nonlinear vibration characteristics. The mechanical dynamic model based on CLSVOF method, Flugge equation-based displacement solving method, and wavelet transform-based vibration sensing method are proposed to reveal the vortex properties and critical penetration state. Initial disturbance and flow flux dominate the vortex forms and coupling intensities of multiphase coupling phenomenon, and the wavelet transform-based vibration sensing method can recognize the transient distortion attribute effectively.

A modal analysis of vibration response of a cracked fluid-filled cylindrical shell?

Summary: This study investigates the vibration response and damage detection method of fluid-filled thin cylindrical shells under the fluid-structure interaction condition. The vibration response is derived using high-order partial differential equations and the wave propagation method, while crack effects are studied using fracture mechanical principles to construct a local flexibility matrix and a breathing linear spring model. Results show significant variations in displacement response caused by nonlinear excitations, decrease in local flexibility and natural frequency due to cracks, and the effectiveness of normalized input power flows as a damage detection method for the shell.
