Effect of various surfactants on stability and thermophysical properties of nanofluids

Jin Wang et al.

Summary: The experimental investigation on the viscosity of nanofluids with Fe3O4 nanoparticles and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) showed new empirical formulas for accurate viscosity predictions. Surfactants like TMAH, SDS, and SLS were found to improve stability, reduce viscosity, and enhance thermal conductivity in Fe3O4-water, CNT-water, and Fe3O4-CNT-water nanofluids. The CNT-water and Fe3O4-CNT-water nanofluids exhibited shear-thinning behavior, while water-based Colace-Fe3O4, TMAH-Fe3O4, and TSC-Fe3O4 nanofluids displayed linear rheological behavior.

Viscosity, thermal conductivity and density of carbon quantum dots nanofluids: an experimental investigation and development of new correlation function and ANN modeling

A. M. Mirsaeidi et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of carbon quantum dots (CQDs) as additives on the thermophysical properties of nanofluids. The presence of CQDs significantly enhances the viscosity and thermal conductivity of nanofluids. Empirical equations and artificial neural network models are developed to accurately predict the properties of nanofluids, showing excellent agreement with experimental data.

Experimental investigation of rheological properties and thermal conductivity of SiO2-P25 TiO2hybrid nanofluids

Thong Le Ba et al.

Summary: This study investigated the thermal conductivity and viscosity of SiO2-P25 TiO2(SiO2-P25) hybrid nanofluids, finding that the hybrid nanofluid showed the highest thermal conductivity enhancement at a concentration of 1.0 volume%, reaching 10.5%. All prepared hybrid nanofluids exhibited Newtonian behavior.
