Summary: The main objective of the study was to determine the distribution of heavy metals in the sediment of Wigry Lake and evaluate the contamination and ecotoxicological risk. Results showed higher metal concentrations in certain types of sediment, with overall low contamination levels and low ecotoxicological risk.
