Design and implementation of new experimental multiaxial random fatigue tests on astm-a105 circular specimens

G. Morettini et al.

Summary: Multiaxial random experimental fatigue tests were conducted with a new specimen geometry, using a circular specimen and a frequency resonance system. The proposed modal approach was validated both numerically and experimentally. The goal of the study was to define the Wodhler curve of the component using forecast data from the BVM method, with fractography analyses of the tested specimens to complete the investigation.

Validation of Multiaxial Fatigue Strength Criteria on Specimens from Structural Steel in the High-Cycle Fatigue Region

Frantisek Fojtik et al.

Summary: The paper describes the estimation of fatigue strength on hollow specimens made from CSN 41 1523 structural steel using selected multiaxial fatigue strength criteria and compares the results with experimental data. The PCRN method and QCP method show the best performance in predicting fatigue strength, while the MMP criterion provides slightly lower results but offers a quick assessment of multiaxial fatigue loading.
