Common Medications and Intracerebral Hemorrhage: The ARIC Study

Richa Sharma et al.

Summary: In this US community-based study, the use of antiplatelets and statins was associated with a lower risk of intracerebral hemorrhage, while no association was found between antiplatelets, anticoagulants, and statins with cerebral microbleeds. Further research is needed to understand the different roles of these medications in cerebral microhemorrhages and macrohemorrhages.
