Local negative permittivity and topological phase transition in polar skyrmions

S. Das et al.

Summary: The article introduces the discovery of polar skyrmions in ferroelectric oxide superlattices and their response to electric fields. It is demonstrated that these structures have negative permittivity and can undergo a reversible phase transition with large dielectric tunability under the influence of an electric field.

Toroidal polar topology in strained ferroelectric polymer

Mengfan Guo et al.

Summary: The study discovered concentric topological structure and anticoupled chiral domains in ferroelectric polymer, which can absorb polarized far-infrared waves and manipulate terahertz waves. The findings provide new insights for design principles of flexible ferroic materials and multi-stimuli conversions in flexible electronics.
