Effectiveness of School-Based Smoking Prevention Education Program (SPEP) Among Nonsmoking Adolescents: A Quasi-Experimental Study

Summary: Preventing smoking among adolescents is crucial, and the Smoking Prevention Education Program was found to be effective in maintaining a 100% nonsmoking rate among participants in the intervention group compared to a 2.9% smoking rate in the control group after 3 months. Attitudes, subjective norms, and nonsmoking intentions significantly improved in the intervention group, indicating the effectiveness of the program.
