Thermal radiation and surface roughness effects on the thermo-magneto-hydrodynamic stability of alumina-copper oxide hybrid nanofluids utilizing the generalized Buongiorno's nanofluid model

Abderrahim Wakif et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of thermal radiation and surface roughness on the dynamics of water conveying alumina and copper oxide nanoparticles. It found that increasing Lorentz forces, thermal radiation, and surface roughness enhanced the appearance of convection cells, while stability decreased with higher volumetric fraction and diameter of nanomaterials. Substituting alumina nanoparticles with copper oxide nanoparticles significantly stabilized the hybrid nanofluidic medium.

Modification for helical turbulator to augment heat transfer behavior of nanomaterial via numerical approach

M. Sheikholeslami et al.

Summary: In engineering fields, using tapes with various configurations can improve the efficiency of heat exchangers and address the current challenges of energy demand. Employing helical tapes can increase flow resistance but also enhance heat transfer efficiency and Nusselt number compared to traditional designs. By increasing tape width and Reynolds number, thermal irreversibility can be reduced, leading to improved system efficiency.

A convective flow of Williamson nanofluid through cone and wedge with non-isothermal and non-isosolutal conditions: A revised Buongiorno model

Abdullah Dawar et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the convective flow of Williamson nanofluid over two different geometries (i.e. cone and wedge) under variable non-isothermal and non-isosolutal conditions, considering Brownian and thermophoresis diffusions. The system of equations is solved using the homotopy analysis method (HAM), and the results are shown through convergence analysis and graphical visualization of flow distributions. Numerical values of interest are presented in tables, showing differences in velocity, thermal, and concentration distributions for different parameters and geometries.
