The study investigated the influence of annealing temperature on the crystallization, morphological, and optical properties of polycrystalline sprayed V2O5. It was found that thermal annealing improved the degree of crystallization and increased both direct and indirect energy band gaps with increasing temperature. The effects on optical properties were evaluated and discussed using various parameters and models.
. The influence of annealing temperature on the crystallization, morphological and optical properties of polycrystalline sprayed V2O5 was studied. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) revealed that films deposited at substrate temperature of 350 degrees C were an orthorhombic structure. Moreover, the degree of crystallization is improved by thermal annealing with a preferential orientation along the direction 001 .. The optical properties results showed an increase in both the direct and indirect energy band gap with annealing temperature. Optical absorption coefficient, Urbach energy, skin depth, refractive index, electron-phonon interaction and optical conductivity have been evaluated. The effect of annealing temperature on dispersion of the refractive index and energy dispersion parameters is discussed in terms of the Wemple-DiDomenico singleeffective-oscillator model.
