The generalized higher-order Schroedinger equation and its traveling wave solutions have been studied, with compatibility conditions found and solutions given in the form of periodic and solitary waves.
One of generalized higher-order Schroddinger equation is considered. Equation has been studied a few times using some special methods. We analyze the equation taking into account the traveling wave solutions too. The system of equations corresponding to the real and imaginary parts is given. Two cases of compatibility conditions are found for existence of the general solution for the system of differential equations. Solutions in the form of periodic and solitary waves of the reduced higher-order nonlinear Schroddinger equation are given.
