Co-precipitation behaviour of single atoms of rutherfordium in basic solutions

Yoshitaka Kasamatsu et al.

Summary: Investigating the chemical properties of superheavy elements, which are only available an atom at a time, is challenging. Researchers have developed a co-precipitation method with samarium to study the precipitation properties of the superheavy element Rf, suggesting it forms hydroxide precipitates.
