The effect of high-pressure torsion on the microstructure and outstanding pseudoelasticity of a ternary Fe-Ni-Mn shape memory alloy

Hamidreza Koohdar et al.

Summary: Experiments showed that high-pressure torsion processing significantly influenced the microstructure and pseudoelastic behavior of a ternary Fe-10Ni-7Mn shape memory alloy, leading to the formation of a multi-phase microstructure and increased hardness values to around 690 Hv, resulting in enhanced pseudoelasticity values of about 67% and 75% in solution-annealed and intercritically-annealed specimens, respectively.
