The effects of resistance exercise training followed by de-training on irisin and some metabolic parameters in type 2 diabetic rat model

Summary: This study investigated the effects of high-fat diet combined with diabetes induction, resistance exercise training, and a de-training period on irisin levels and metabolic parameters. The results showed that high-fat diet consumption reduced irisin levels and Quicki. As obesity and type 2 diabetes progressed, irisin levels increased. Resistance exercise training attenuated the increase in irisin levels in these conditions by improving glucose/lipid metabolic disorders.
