Estimating charge-transport properties of fuel-cell and electrolyzer catalyst layers via electrochemical impedance spectroscopy

A. Kosakian et al.

Summary: This study evaluates the appropriateness of analytical models for estimating the charge-transport properties of catalyst layers using numerical simulations. The results show that some commonly used impedance expressions lead to a threefold overestimation of protonic resistance and may not be suitable for estimating proton conductivity in electrolyzer catalyst layers with low electronic conductivity.
