Summary: This study investigated the global attitudes of surgeons towards the management of patients with acute appendicitis during the COVID-19 pandemic and found that conservative management of mild appendicitis was possible. However, some surgeons shifted to open appendicectomy, possibly due to the lack of strong guidelines during the early phase of the pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2.
