The synthesis and X-ray structures of three new [Cp*Ru(η1)-ArCN)(3)]PF6 (Ar = aryl) complexes are reported, which are thermally converted to [Cp*Ru(η6)-ArCN)]PF6 (Ar = aryl) sandwich complexes and subsequently recovered by UV light irradiation. Additionally, trans-selective hydroboration of internal alkynes using the synthesized complexes is disclosed.
The synthesis and X-ray structures of three new [Cp*Ru(eta(1)-ArCN)(3)]PF6 (Ar = aryl) complexes are reported. These complexes are thermally converted to [Cp*Ru(eta(6)-ArCN)]PF6 (Ar = aryl) sandwich complexes and subsequently recovered by UV light irradiation.
