A highly specific and sensitive LAMP detection method for the cdtA, cdtB, and cdtC genes produced by P. alcalifaciens was established, with a detection threshold of 3.13 pg/μl within 40 minutes.
Cytolethal distending toxins (CDTs) produced by P. alcalifaciens are considered as potential virulence factors. A loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) method for the detection of cdtA, cdtB, and cdtC genes was established which showed high specificity and strong sensitivity. The LAMP assay showed a detection threshold was 3.13 pg/mu l within 40 min.
