Microplastics decrease the toxicity of triphenyl phosphate (TPhP) in the marine medaka (Oryzias melastigma) larvae

Yu Ting Zhang et al.

Summary: This study found that different types of microplastics did not significantly affect the locomotor activity of marine medaka larvae, while exposure to triphenyl phosphate (TPhP) resulted in decreased mobility. However, in the binary mixture exposure of TPhP and microplastics, the presence of microplastics was able to reverse the decrease in mobility caused by TPhP.
