Summary: In this study, a low-cost, novel, and straightforward method was developed to bioprepare zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) and neodymium (Nd3+) incorporated into the ZnO NPs using extracts of Hemidesmus indicus (H. indicus) (L.) R. Br. root as a sustainable reducing and coating agent. Analysis of the synthesized NPs showed a hexagonal wurtzite crystalline structure. The antimicrobial efficiency of the synthesized NPs against standard and clinical strains of Staphylococcus aureus (gram-positive) and Klebsiella pneumoniae (gram-negative) bacterial strains was evaluated.
