In-situ crosslinked hydrogel based on amidated pectin/oxidized chitosan as potential wound dressing for skin repairing

Jhaleh Amirian et al.

Summary: By adjusting the content of amine and aldehyde groups from AP and OC, the properties of the hydrogel can be controlled to have desirable gelation time, swelling capability, high hemocompatibility and biocompatibility. The AP-OC-65 hydrogel, in particular, stands out with superior swelling capability and better hemo- and bio-compatibility, showing great potential for applications in wound dressing or skin substitute.
